Jason HThis review is long overdue, as our install was in Sept 2023. We worked with Chris Richardson throughout the process and he took his time to answer a ton of questions. We had panels installed on a new build, and they worked with us to send someone out to measure all the rooflines since maps did not have images of the roof yet. We also did not have a full year of electric bills, so Chris was patient enough to wait on us a few months after we initially spoke so we could get 6 months worth of usage, then extrapolate the rest. We have now had the system for a complete 12 months and I am happy to say that it has produced slightly more than it was projected for, which we are happy with, as that gives us room to grow. I mainly bring this up because the projected system size was pretty much spot on… We've heard some horror stories about systems not being sized properly, but that's not the case here. As an additional note, we had a whole house generator setup after we got the panels installed, so we had to get a couple techs to come back out after the fact to re-work the wiring in our panel (note we paid for the service call and expected to). We reached out to Chris and he helped get us in touch with the right folks at Lumina to make that happen. All in all the customer service was what you would hope for, and the main reason we chose to go with Lumina.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Jason H
Jeffrey PageWe have had an excellent experience with Lumina Solar. Our great experience began with our initial contact with Lumina’s Residential Solar Consultant, Ryan Cook, who patiently walked us through what Lumina was offering, what we could expect from the service, how the installation, how long the process would take, as well as what financing options we might be eligible for. Once we signed with Lumina, every touch point with the company was smooth, professional, and efficient. At one point we had a minor concern about our roof, and Lumina sent out a senior consultant to look at the situation, talk through the issue, and arrive at a satisfactory resolution. Most importantly, since we installed the Lumina solar panels, our electric bills have dropped to zero — over the past few months we’ve paid PEPCO on the nominal administrative fee of 18-odd dollars. Lumina has provided excellent service from start to finish, and we are very satisfied not only with our reduced electric bill but also with the knowledge that we are contributing to a greener environment.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Jeffrey Page
Kiran KodimelaHad the solar panel installation done with Lumina and it’s been year and half now. The team did a great job in installation of solar panels and we are absolutely saving lot of bucks on power consumption. We also had an issue with box located outside our house , but was immediately fixed within a weeks time. Great customer service. I would strongly recommend Lumina solar panels for others if you are yet to decide.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Kiran Kodimela
WeiHaoI was a big fan of the green energy. I did a lot of research on the local solar companies and asking around for references. It ended up that Lumina was the right decision I made. Tim Cooke was very detailed and professional that always kept me updated on each phases. I was so impressive each sub groups and processes. No hassle at all. I highly recommend Lumina and ask for Tim.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by WeiHao
Laura FondiMy husband and I love our new solar panels from Lumina. Our experience was positive from the start. Andrew answered all our questions and was there to continue to support us through the whole processs. My husband and I were determined to not have conduits on the house and the team really had to work to make that happen. We could not be happier with the results. We highly recommend Lumina!!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Laura Fondi
Al BernerFlawless process from meeting with project manager Christopher Richardson through the final inspection. System is running for 9 months producing electricity with no issues. Recommend Lumina Solar.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Al Berner
Aleyxis SuarezThe process with lumina solar went smoothly from start to finish, my representative support me during the entire process and answer all my questions , even now after a year I can reach out to them with questions and they will gladly help me out. I highly recommend Lumina Solar.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Aleyxis Suarez
Andy GaynorI had a fairly complex 16.2kw ground mount system recently installed. Everyone at Lumina was highly professional, from the initial sales presentation with Philip, to the project manager Cory working with us on details, the survey team, the trenching team, all the installers Josh I believe was our lead amd was phenomenal and very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. I also appreciated the work ethic, each team worked diligently to make sure each phase of the project was completed as quickly as possible. Once our installation was completed Rob came out to meet with the permit inspector for my local township and ensured that everything went smoothly. Having a dedicated team who I felt comfortable with this type of investment was paramount in my decision to choose what solar company I went with, and Lumina did not disappoint! I'm confident that I will enjoy my new energy independence, and if there are any hiccups Lumina has my back!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Andy Gaynor
Chris EndressEverything at Lumina Solar has been such a great workflow. Speaking initially with our main contact Jack, was like having a conversation with a friend. He was not pushy and didn't act like a "sales man". He was also very knowledgable and able to answer every question we had. Installation with Lumina Solar flawless. The team worked quickly, proficiently and cleanly. They were able to also answer all the questions we had about the installation. Jack has also been available any time we had additional questions and was able to take care of any minor problems that came up. We are already seeing fantastic results in overall KWH produced and lower electric costs.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Chris Endress
Amanda RahiExcellent experience all around. I had been considering going solar for quite some time and had looked into a number of companies. It wasn't until I spoke to Philip at Lumina that I decided to move forward. He was very helpful every step of the way and made the entire process easy and straightforward. Also, the whole crew at Lumina was very professional and did great work. I highly recommend!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Montgomery County Pennsylvania by Amanda Rahi

The subtle art lies in capturing maximum sunshine while navigating the peculiarities of local weather and architectural subtleties.

The Puzzle of Orientation and Tilt

What if I told you that a few degrees distinction in panel tilt could mean the difference between a power-packed year and a frustrating output? Montgomery County Pennsylvania's latitude recommends a tilt angle near to 30-40 degrees, however do not rush-- aspects like roofing pitch, shading from towering trees, and even chimney shadows can considerably alter performance.

  • South-facing roofings are perfect, however east or west can still yield decent energy if enhanced.
  • Changing panel angles seasonally isn't practical for most property owners, yet repaired mounts need to be chosen wisely.
  • Partial shading, even from a thin branch, triggers disproportionate drops in output-- microinverters or power optimizers can mitigate this impact.
